On December 2, 2015, Honorary Consul Chris Domeny and Honorary Consul of the Czech Republic Petr Vasicko participated in a one-day trip to Columbia, South Carolina in order to increase bi-lateral ties with their respective countries. The trip included meetings with state officials from the Governor's Office, the SC Department of Commerce, the SC Central Alliance, the World Affairs Council of Columbia, the University of South Carolina, and the law firm of Parker Poe.

On the agenda were the facilitation to build out a formal SC Consular Corps, trade relationships, academic ties with the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina, and increased future visits of dignitaries and Honorary Consuls for World Affairs Council events.
