2018 Hungarian Easter Camp in NC

The Carolinas Hungarian Group’s largest annual event is the Easter Camp which this year hosted over 240 Hungarians at a new location at Blue Ridge Mountain, in North Carolina during the Easter weekend.

The participants joined from various states including South and North Carolina, West Virginia, Mississippi, Georgia, Illinois, New Jersey, New York and Washington DC, as well as from Ottawa (Canada) and from Budapest, Hungary. The ages of the participants ranged from 1 to 92 years. The Hungarian cultural programs included decorating Easter eggs, Easter “watering” and folk dances with the Életfa band. This year, Peter Gyombolai, Diaspora Attaché also joined the festivities from Washington DC.
