Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME)

The goal of the Budapest University of Tecnology and Economics (BME) is to graduate professionals who are capable of high-level creative work, who can organise and supervise production and infrastructure, and who are qualified to perform scientific research, participate in technical development, solve engineering problems and implement solutions. The BME is proud of its more than two-hundred-year tradition of excel- lence in engineering education.

Corvinus University of Budapest (BCE)

The Corvinus Uni- versity of Budapest is an internationally recognised institution providing programmes at seven faculties in the field of business, economics, social sciences, public administration, horticulture, food science, and landscape architecture. English taught programmes among them those of accredited by EPAS and ranked by the Financial Times attract international students from all over the world.


Eötvös Loránd University

Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) the leading research university of Hungary serves the interests of high quality education and cutting edge research with the conviction that neither can exist with- out the other. Therefore all the educational programmes of ELTE implement the latest research achievements. ELTE is also one of the most internationalized instituions of Hungary having more than 700 European and more than 50 partner universities from other continents. To ELTE profiting from such an international environment means to design the highest academic standard educa- tional programmes, with the most of our educational and industrial partners. This philosophy of co-operation assures, that the degrees of ELTE are accepted around the globe, and the graduate students of ELTE are a steady demand on the labour market. Eötvös Loránd University already provides more than 40 programmes in English and the number of joint degree programmes is growing each year.

Semmelweis University (SE)

Semmelweis University has a more than 240-year-old tradition of academic excellence and commitment to educating physicians and health care professionals. Its programs in English were constructed for students with a working knowledge of English. At the conclusion of the programs the degrees granted in English are identical to those granted at the Hungarian programs: Doctor of Medicine (M.D.), Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D), Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.), bachelor of sciences (B.Sc) and master of sciences (M.Sc) in nu- merous nursing, health sciences physical education programmes.


Szent István University (SZIE)

Szent István University, one of Hungary’s largest institutions of higher education, consists of ten different faculties for study and research hosting 18000 students. The university campuses are home to some of the most beautiful buildings in the country. In addition to its historic concentration in agricultural sciences, SZIU’s focuses are veterinary, environmental sciences, mechanical engineering, economics, architectural sciences, medical sciences as well as applied arts. With parts of its history dating back over 200 years, SZIU blends Hungary’s traditions and deep roots in agriculture, with cutting-edge technology to meet the needs of its students in today’s competitive labor markets.

University of Debrecen

The University of Debrecen, one of the five leading research universities, is the oldest Hungarian in- stitution of higher education in continuous operation based in the same city. Its predecessor, the Re- formed College of Debrecen, was founded in 1538. The UD was established in 2000 by (re)uniting several formerly independent institutions. It has 15 faculties, 25 doctoral schools, and a student body of 31 160, offering the broadest choice of majors in the country. Around 2/3 of the 1500 instructors have academic degrees, 140 are doctors of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, and 30 are members of the Academy. The university is a renowned research centre, possessing 14-15% of the research volume carried out in Hungarian higher education. With its annual R&D income of about 17 million EUR, the University of Debrecen is one of the most rapidly developing knowledge centres in Central and Eastern Europe.

University of Miskolc (UM)

The University of Miskolc is the largest higher educational institution in the north-eastern region of Hungary. Education at BSc, MSc and PhD levels is performed in 7 faculties and 1 institute: Faculty of Earth Science and Engineering, Faculty of Materials Science Engineering, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Informatics, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Arts, Comenius Training College, Faculty of Health Care Studies, Bartók Béla Institute of Music.

University of Pannonia (UP)

The University of Pannonia is one of the most dynamically developing Hungarian higher educational institutions. Its five faculties (Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Information Technology, Faculty of Modern Philology and Social Sciences, Georgikon Faculty) offer academic programmes of high quality, mainly in the following fields: en- gineering, information technology, economics, agricultural sciences, natural sciences, social sciences and arts.

University of Pécs

The University of Pécs, the oldest university of Hungary, was founded in 1367. Today it is one of the largest institutions of higher education in this country: with its 33 000 students and 500 different study programmes this integrated university offers a wide spectrum of teaching activities. The highly qualified teaching staff provides the students internationally accepted knowledge and a diploma competitive on the labour market. The University has been conducting programmes in English for 25 years and has become one of the most internationalized universities. We are proud to host about 2000 international students per year coming from more than 80 countries of the world.

University of Szeged (SZTE)

The University of Szeged, which has a more than 400-year-long history, is comprised of 12 faculties and represents nearly 30,000 students, including 1500 foreign students and 8000 employees. The USz is a highly prestigious Hungarian HEI providing quality education at the levels of BA/BSc, MA/MSc and PhD, mainly in Hungarian. USz offers full degree programmes in English and German in the fields of Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Arts and Natural Sciences, and in French at the Faculty of Law.
